ABOUT THE PROJECT

Sexual education is essential for the emotional world and the physical condition of the adolescences. The main aim of our project proposal is to establish and improve the skills of youth workers to work with teenagers on topics linked with sexual education. The target group includes youth and social workers, pedagogical specialists etc, who have direct contact with youngsters and their parents. The methodology is designed in accordance to the project’s aims and all the activities are orientated towards enhancing the skills of youth workers to educate and increase teenagers’ knowledge on topics related to sexual education through non-formal learning. The participants will be trained in the concept of experiential learning so they could feel confident and comfortable to talk about these topics which are taboo in all the countries of this partnership.

The expected results the participants will improve their skills to use interactive methods and to work for increasing the sexual culture of the youth in their countries. They will also improve their skills to work in a multicultural environment, communication in a foreign language and their awareness for learning to learn.

OBJECTIVES:

– learning new techiques and methods to create safe environment between trainer/youth worker and yougsters;
– participants could tackle their barriers and stereotypes working within the topic of sexual education of youth;
– youth workers/teachers/trainers will develop ability to use various interactive methods to work with youth on topics concerning sexual education;
– obtain knowledge and skills to work with parents and relatives in order to provide support dealing with emotional situations;
– sharing good practices and ideas.

PARTICIPANTS PROFILE

We are looking for 3 participants who are:

• older than 18 years,
• currently involved in youth work as trainers, teachers, social workers or youth workers in Croatia,
• have previous experience in organizing non-formal learning activities,
• have a high level of English.
• Important! Participants with specific talents (painting, dancing, singing, etc.) or workshop/presentation on the related topic are welcome to share them with others.

COSTS

This project is financed by Erasmus +, so all costs like travel, accommodation, and food are covered. There is a participation fee of 15 euros which will be reduced from your travel reimbursement and a reservation fee of 150 kuna which you have to pay before the project for administration costs if you are going to be selected.
