From September 4th to 12th, four young people from Croatia embarked on an Erasmus+ journey in Xàtiva, Spain, as part of the “Road of Europe” youth exchange. Joined by participants from Romania, Greece, Italy, and Slovakia, they dove into creative workshops focusing on the integration of young migrants.
The hands-on activities addressed real-life challenges like finding jobs, housing, and adapting to new cultures. Working together, the groups created a useful handbook packed with tips to help young migrants better navigate life in a new country.
But the fun didn’t stop there! Every night, cultural evenings brought the flavors and traditions of each country to life. Participants shared their customs through food, music, and creative activities, making each night an unforgettable cultural exchange. In addition to these workshops, the group ventured out to explore the local beauty of Xàtiva and took an exciting trip to Valencia. They immersed themselves in Spain’s rich history and vibrant culture, soaking in all the amazing sights and experiences.
In the end, the participants not only gained valuable insights into the lives of young migrants but also grew, built friendships, and had a blast learning together.
It was an unforgettable experience! Meeting new people, participating in numerous activities, and discovering ourselves and each other along the way.
