Call for Participants: Join us on the Prvić Island for the bloodiest Youth Exchange in Croatia!

Are you ready to embark on a transformative journey? Do you want to challenge stereotypes and break taboos around menstruation? Are you brave enough to spread awareness about menstrual topics on your social media?
If yes, join us for the And.Period Youth Exchange on the beautiful Prvić Island!

Location: Prvić Island, Croatia
Organized by: Association Strive! (Croatia) with partners EducAntwerp (Belgium), EuroFRC (Poland), Mojo de Caña (Spain), and Tolerance In You (Ukraine)
Participants needed: 2 residents of Croatia (age 18-30)

About the project:

And.Period is an ERASMUS+ project that aims to dismantle stereotypes and taboos surrounding menstruation. We provide a safe space for youth and youth workers to talk, share, learn, and unlearn topics related to menstruation. Our goal is to empower people who menstruate (PWM) and foster empathy and understanding among those who don’t.

Who are we looking for?

  • Youth aged 18-30 from Croatia,
  • open-minded individuals who value diversity and honesty,
  • motivated participants ready to engage in discussions about menstruation and contribute to a safe, supportive environment.
  • personalities who would love to share project results via social media and contribute campaign.

Program highlights:

2nd September: Arrival and evening gathering
3rd September: Introduction and program overview
4th September: Exploring national contexts related to menstruation
5th September: Understanding the four phases of the menstrual cycle
6th September: Addressing cultural taboos and coping strategies
7th September: Learning about menstrual hygiene, education, and poverty
8th September: Future campaign planning and evaluation
9th September: Departure

Daily sessions will run from 10 am to 6 pm, with breaks and meal times.
A detailed schedule participants will receive a week before mobility.

COSTS

This project is co-funded by the European Commission through the ERASMUS+ Programme, so all costs like travel, accommodation, and food during the exchange duration are covered.

Erasmus + program is covering the total costs of accommodation and food (3 meals per day) during the youth exchange.

There is an annual membership for joining our mobility projects. The membership price differs for active and passive members, volunteers, or newcomers, so for detailed info click here.

TRAVEL

Participants buy tickets with the organizers’ help, and travel costs will be reimbursed after the project. The maximum travel reimbursement budget for a participant from Croatia is 60,00 €. You can find more info about travel in the info pack.
