I recently had the opportunity to participate in the Erasmus+ Youth Exchange project, “Value of YOUth” and the destination was the breathtaking Las Palmas in the Canary Islands. Reflecting on my experience, I am filled with gratitude for the awesome adventure and the remarkable people I had the pleasure of meeting and working with. I am more than happy to express my appreciation to the facilitating organization, “Mojo de Caña” and especially our sending organization, “Strive!“ for their professionalism and for making the organization of this journey a smooth and unforgettable experience.
From the moment we arrived in Las Palmas, it was evident that this project would be a great one. The vibrant atmosphere was filled with the diverse cultures and perspectives of participants from Belgium, Romania, Spain, and Croatia. Together, we formed an instant bond and embarked on a journey of personal growth, friendship, and fun.
The workshops and activities organized by “Mojo de Caña” were excellent. The facilitators displayed an understanding of the project’s objectives and guided us through discussions and sessions. Some of the workshop types and techniques were new to me, and I liked them. Sanja, Mingo, and Sam demonstrated expertise and a passion for youth development, creating an environment that encouraged open dialogue and creative expression while ensuring everyone felt comfortable. We also had the pleasure of hearing from external lecturers like Amanda and Juan, who provided valuable insights and contributed to our learning experience.
Beyond the educational aspect, the project allowed us to explore the beauty of Gran Canaria. We had the opportunity to immerse ourselves in the local culture, visit breathtaking landmarks, and indulge in the traditional cuisine. The extraordinary landscapes, warm weather, and pristine beaches added an extra layer of excitement and enjoyment to our time there. Our collective adventures created countless awesome memories.
The professionalism and support from “Strive!”, our sending organization, played a great role in ensuring a seamless experience with no problems or concerns before and after the project.
In conclusion, I am grateful for the opportunity to participate in this Erasmus+ project. The knowledge gained, the friendships formed, and the experiences will shape my personal and professional growth. I express my gratitude to “Mojo de Caña” for their facilitation and to “Strive!” for their support. I anticipate future collaborations with both organizations on yet another amazing journey through Erasmus+.
