Project summary

B.E.T.T.E.R. is a Training Course aimed at Youth Workers committed to everyday work with young people, social issues and relationships, funded by the Erasmus+ program. The main objective is to develop the competencies of youth workers in terms of empathy and sensitivity to foster better working dynamics and empower skills and self-referentiality.

Expected participants in the project will have the experience and the interest in working with young people using communicative tools in social contexts, exploring empathy fields and managing the right key skills to develop a working sensitivity.

Working methods

The methodological approach of the project will be focused on non-formal education, and the working methods will include communication techniques, team building, simulations, debates, working groups, workshops, evaluation sessions and follow-up activities.

Participants profile

We are looking for 1 participant  who is:

• age 18+,
• Croatian resident,
• able to communicate in English,
• strongly motivated to engage in the project,
• has the interest to learn and are willing to participate actively,
• youth workers/leaders/professionals,
• experience in working with young people in marginalized situations and suffering the condition of unemployment is an advantage.

COSTS

This project is financed by Erasmus +, so all costs like travel, accommodation, and food during the exchange duration are covered.

Erasmus + program is covering the total costs of accommodation and food (3 meals per day + snacks with a coffee break) during the youth exchange.

There is an annual membership for joining our mobility projects. The price of membership is different for active and passive members, volunteers, or newcomers, so for detailed info click here. Membership has to be covered 3 weeks before the departure date.

TRAVEL

Participants are buying tickets with the help of organizers and travel costs are going to be reimbursed after the project. The maximum travel reimbursement budget for a participant from Croatia is 180 EUR. Please find all the details in the info pack.

DO I NEED TO KNOW SOMETHING MORE?

Yes. There is no participation fee. But you agree with the rules and conditions by signing a participation contract and including it in the application. Applications without a signed contract and CV are not going to be accepted. So, better be serious and read all the info about the project one more time including your personal time management.

SELECTED PARTICIPANTS

If you are going to be selected, you will need to fill in the application form for the organisers, which is mentioned in the info pack. We will contact candidates which meet the conditions as soon as possible.
