Project summary

The main aim of “(Ex)change the world” project is to highlight the importance of social entrepreneurship in modern society as a sustainable way to build a synergy between social problems-job market-young entrepreneurs by providing quality content with the use of non-formal education methods.

By implementing the project we wish to achieve wider recognition and visibility of social entrepreneurship as a tool of creating synergy between solutions for the problems of modern youth with their business ideas and social problems by youth’s civic engagement. In the project, we recognized several objectives we wish to work on a way to achieve the upper aim.

Objectives: 

(1) Equip youth workers, thereby their target groups in multiple instruments and competencies necessary for understanding and using the concept of SE in their professional life.

(2) Elucidate global education and international relations as live mechanisms which cannot be neglected in local strategy for the role of social entrepreneurship.

(3) Raise awareness about the relation between economy, education and challenges of the NGO sector.

(4) Promotion of intercultural, European and international values.

(5) Present non-formal tools and methods of multiplying collected knowledge regardless of the topic and differences between formal, informal and non-formal education.

(6) Present methodology relevant for business plan development in SE and sources aimed to improve the SE sector (online and offline).

Activities

During the TC multiple activities will be carried out defined by non-formal education context, both already tested and innovative methods according to target groups (nationally heterogenic group). An important element will be the presentation/storytelling of Hungarian entrepreneurs who will be invited to showcase an example of social enterprise on the ground of applicant country reality.

PARTICIPANTS PROFILE

We are looking for 3 participants who are:

• 18 +,
• Croatian residents,
• youth workers, young leaders, active members of associations, social entrepreneurs, …
• fluent in English,
• higly motivated for multiplying effect and dissemination of the project,
• willing to continuing and deepening contacts and self- development within created networking group and advisory team.

COSTS

This project is financed by Erasmus +, so all costs like travel, accommodation, and food during the exchange duration are covered.

Erasmus + program is covering full costs of accommodation and food (3 meals per day + snacks with a coffee break) during the training course.

There is an annual membership for joining our mobility projects. The price of membership is different for active and passive members, volunteers, or newcomers, so for detailed info click here.

TRAVEL

Participants are buying tickets with the help of organizers and travel costs are going to be reimbursed after the project. The maximum travel reimbursement budget for a participant from Croatia is 180 EUR.

DO I NEED TO KNOW SOMETHING MORE?

Yes. There is no participation fee. But you are agreeing with rules and conditions by signing the participant contract and including it in the application. Applications without a signed contract and CV are not going to be accepted. So, better be serious and read all the info about the project one more time including your personal time management.

HOW TO APPLY?

SELECTED PARTICIPANTS

Selected participants, as well as candidates on the waiting lists, will be informed about the results until the 19th of November 2021. If you are going to be selected, you will need to fill in the application form for the organizers. Don’t worry, we will remind you. 😉

IS IT POSSIBLE TO TRAVEL DUE TO COVID-19?

As you already know, measures are changing every day in every country due to epidemic situations. If organizers estimate implementation of the mobility won’t be possible due to the safety of participants, the dates of the mobility will be delayed.

TO GOOD TO BE TRUE?

Even we are offering participation in this project “for free” it doesn’t mean it is free. As an organization, we are covering project administration costs and our young volunteers are working hard, investing their energy, knowledge, and time to make this opportunity possible. Why? Because we are in love with mobility and striving to open even more international opportunities for young people and youth workers in Croatia and wider who invest time in self-development and make positive changes in their environments.
