You have seen our call and decided to apply? Great! This article will provide you with 3 steps which you need to make for a successful application.
Every organization has its methods for selecting participants to projects. Some organizations are selecting their members and volunteers as a reward for the effort they have invested in the development of an organization or as a strategic step in the education and development of their staff.
Also, there are many organizations in Europe which are acting as a bridge between an active civil society and Erasmus + program, officially known as sending organizations. Their goal is usually to select the most suitable candidates for the upcoming exchange according to the goals of the project.
Each sending organization has developed its own selection process according to the resources and knowledge they have. That’s the reason why sometimes it’s enough to send an e-mail and other times go through a process similar as if you’re applying for a job position.
Through the years of working within the Erasmus + program as a sending organization for KA1 projects, we have developed our own methods which are efficient for us and applicants.
There are 3 steps you need to do to apply for mobility.
First step: Fill in the application form
On our website, you can find a standardized application form for all our mobility projects. Your task is easy, fill in all the required data and answer all the questions. But keep in mind that this is the only opportunity for us to get to know you, your reasons for participating in the project as well as the contributions you can make.
Second step: Send us your CV
This is also an important part of our application process. In this part, we want to check out if everything you have written in the application form is true. Also, we would like to check in which phase of your life you are currently in (student, employed, an unemployed, high-school graduate,…), which skills you have acquired, as well as your volunteering or/and youth work experience. The second reason why we insist on sending your CV is that we can compare how much you have grown since your last application. The third reason is very simple. It’s always good to have your CV updated because you will use it in your next job/scholarship/project application or some other position you’re trying to reach.
Third step: Sign participant contract
Well, that should actually be the first step. If you don’t agree with rules and conditions, why even bother to apply? As sending organization we need to fulfil requirements from our partners and the Erasmus+ program so everybody can benefit. That is why we state that mobility is not free travelling. As a participant you have some tasks you need to fulfil and those are: respecting the rules of the project, actively participate in workshops and activities, share results of the projects, send all necessary documentation on time, be responsible with travel tickets and invoices, and very important thing: apply and/or share your gained knowledge and experience with your local community after you return from mobility.
After fulfilling the first step send us your CV and the signed contract to the following email address: pr************@gm***.com . You can also sign it digitally, no need for printing. And one more important thing, please respect the deadline. If you send all documentation after the deadline we cannot take it into consideration because it’s not going to be fair to other applicants. Also, we have to finish the selection process on time to fulfil our deadlines and duties towards partners and applicants. So, if you missed a call once, send us an email or subscribe so we can put you on the list of potential participants and inform you about forthcoming projects on time.
Everything done on time? Awesome. Now it’s time to relax and wait until the end of the selection process. You have already done a great job to open yourself an opportunity for growth, development and potential adventure.
